News: The Tank's Sweet Sixteen Gala Takes Place May 14

Non-profit arts presenter and promoter The Tank (312 W 36th St, Manhattan, NYC) celebrates its sixteenth birthday on May 14, 2019 with a 16th Anniversary Gala. The Gala will honor Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer;The Tank’s outgoing Co-Artistic Director, Rosalind Grush; and director Ran Xia.

The Tank's mission is to remove economic barriers from the creation of new work for artists launching their careers and experimenting within their art form, and to honor that work, the Gala, hosted by Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush (The Tank’s Co-Artistic Directors and hosts of the podcast Tanked!), will feature dinner; drinks; performances by artists including Jei Osorio, Pooja Reddy and Zubi Ahmed of Kutti Gang; an afterparty; and a silent auction throughout the evening. 

The evening begins with a VIP cocktail hour at 6pm. At 7pm, those purchasing a ticket for the full evening can stay and enjoy a dinner by Tank Board Member, Jenn de la Vega of RANDWICHES on the stage of The Tank's 98-seat theater. Desserts and an open bar follow at 8pm, with music, dancing, and a handful of more raucous performances.
