News: Mary Corigliano 's "Apoloholics" to Play 2026 NYC Fringe

Apoloholics, written by Mary Corigliano and directed by Nora Alexander, will be presented as part of the 2026 New York City Fringe Festival with FRIGID New York at the Chain Theatre Mainstage (312 W 36th St. 4th floor, New York, NY 10018) with performances on Wed April 1 at 6pm, Wed April 8 at 7:40pm, Sat April 11 at 10:20pm & Mon April 13 at 7:40pm. 

Apoloholics is a heartfelt and humorous exploration of people who have spent their lives apologizing for simply existing. What happens when they try to reclaim their voices? Through a series of witty, poignant, and relatable stories inspired by real-life experiences, the play confronts the hidden cost of self-doubt while celebrating the journey toward self-acceptance. Perfect for anyone who's ever said "I'm sorry" a few too many times. Written by life-long apoloholic, Mary Corigliano.

The cast will feature Mary Corigliano, Marguerite A. Boone, Gabby Franco Ferro, Blair Tate, and Zack Watson. The creative team includes Mary Corigliano (Writer), Nora Alexander (Director), and Caitlin Malczon (Stage Manager). 

In addition to Apoloholics, Corigliano has created the award-winning sketch comedy series That Just Happened, and she has headlined at festivals throughout the country for over eight years. Her foundation as an actor, writer, and creative was shaped by her early theater experiences with The Saybrook Stage Company at The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook, Connecticut - years that instilled in her a deep love of storytelling, collaboration, and live performance. 

Apoloholics director Nora Alexander has a background is in directing, stage managing, and producing, with recent works such as The Brian Wilson Space Experiment (stage manager, 2026), The Whole of Time (producer, 2025), Olio (stage manager, 2024), Cellino V. Barnes (associate director, stage manager, 2023), and Job (stage manager, 2022). For the last decade, her artistic home has been Torn Page, an intimate theatre space in the historic Chelsea home of Rip Torn and Geraldine Page in Manhattan. Since 2025, Alexander has also served Off-Broadway's Vineyard Theatre as Manager of Individual Giving.
 
Tickets ($15) for Apoloholics are available for advance purchase at www.frigid.nyc. The performance will run approximately 60 minutes. Performances will also be available to livestream.
