Iodice’s act has been featured around the globe in European cabarets, circuses, and stage/musical productions, as well as on international TV. He was notably one of the only riders in North America to perform the dangerous stunt of passing under the belly of a galloping horse. While on the rodeo trail, Iodice learned and perfected the art of trick roping, which he now features in his high-energy western variety act that also includes bullwhip artistry, comedy and the boleadoras from Argentina.
A Cowboy From the Bronx plays four performances between April 7-9 at The Voorhees Theatre, 86 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Tickets are free thanks to City Tech, but donations will be accepted at the door if you so desire.
A Cowboy From the Bronx is presented by Theatreworks. Theatreworks is the resident theatre company at City Tech (known in longer form as New York City College of Technology, CUNY). Its Artists in Residence program is a unique opportunity for professional artistic organizations to work with entertainment technology students to realize production values and work with technology unavailable to these artists in most other venues.
In order to attend a performance, you must first register your Covid vaccine information or a negative PCR Covid test to get Cleared4 access to the Voorhees Theatre, which is part of CUNY. It's recommended this should be done by April 3rd to guarantee you receive your access pass beforehand. Information on how to get your Cleared4 pass is explained in the FAQs Reservation requirements section on the City Tech Theatreworks page. You will not be able to enter by showing your vaccine card at the door. The process is easy and involves filling out two online forms and uploading a photo of your vaccine card. Instructions and video can be found on the Theatreworks ticket page. Or check out the video below.
