News: For Her B-Day Weekend, Sour Grapes' Genny Yosco Gifts Audiences with a Slate of Live Virtual Shows

Sour Grapes Productions Co-Founder Genny Yosco has announced a slate of live virtual shows this weekend:

JANUARY 15th, 7pm EST: SILENT BUT DEADLY: A Mime Experience

On Friday January 15th (Yosco's birthday!) at 7pm, the newest virtual installment of SILENT BUT DEADLY: A Mime Experience comes to screens near you. Following the overwhelming support the mimes got for their previous virtual endeavors, they are unfortunately back and here to bother you all once again. "They have modernized Mime in a way that we haven’t seen before but we really hope to see again... Their devotion to craziness is just downright what we need in our lives right now," raves the Young-Hozwe Theatre Journal.

JANUARY 16th, 7pm EST: A Midsummer Night Stream

This is the premiere of the sequel to im ur hamlet., titled A Midsummer Night Stream. As you may already know, im ur hamlet. was part of the 2020 So Many Shakespeares Festival, and Hi! Drama called it "one of the best uses of Zoom to create a viable piece of new theater," while Thinking Theater NYC called it "a funny, fast-moving script," and Go See a Show Podcast said, "I don't do Zoom theater, but I was VERY pleasantly surprised watching im ur hamlet." It even landed on Time Out NY's list of best live theater to watch. im ur hamlet. was revived at the 2020 Hartford Fringe Festival, where it won the audience choice for Best of the Fest. So why not strike while the iron is hot and bring back everyone's favorite love-to-hate characters for another round?

When we last left the actors in their failed attempt at a Zoom Hamlet, Gigi and Fallon had been plotting to shut the show down and convince all the actors involved to join their production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Now that their dream has come true, is it actually going to be a nightmare?

JANUARY 17th, 2pm & 7pm EST: Bard Brunch and Is Full of Woe

First up, at 2pm EST, is Yosco's weekly interview show, Bard Brunch. She'll be making some birthday cupcakes and then talking to The Shakespeare Republic about their newest season, aptly titled All The Web's A Stage. As always, they're dedicated to bringing Shakespeare into a modern world and context, and this year they've made it ULTRA modern by taking a look at Shakespeare through the eyes of a pandemic.

Finally, at 7pm EST, Yosco's first ever solo show is getting a revival. Genny Yosco was born at noon on a Wednesday. As the saying goes, "Wednesday's child is full of woe" - that is 100% accurate and everything has been downhill ever since. Genny's life has been a cornucopia of pain, but she has adapted to push through using pure spite and a little caffeine.
